Software Engineer

Barracuda provides powerful yet easy-to-use security and storage solutions that simplify IT. This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer to work on the Barracuda Appliance Control.
Barracuda Appliance Control is our cloud-based remote management system for our Appliances.It integrates multiple Barracuda products into a seam user experience.This job requires someone with proven development skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
What do you need to have to be successful?
2
years software development experience including implementation of web and/or network applications
High-level scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, PHP) and/or shell scripting
Web development technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
Experience in Go development or similar language
Experience working with REST/JSON-RPC and building one or both
Familiarity with the Linux command-line environment (Gentoo is a plus)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Able to work under time pressure, in a dynamic environment, with minimum or no specifications
Proficient with source control systems ( git, SVN etc )
Proficient with implementing and interacting with databases.
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networking (e.g., IP addressing, DNS configuration, etc.)
Familiarity with agile development processes a plus
Familiarity with Active Directory administration a plus
Education:
Bachelor Degree in technical field, or equivalent work experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
