The staff at Avsurance is dedicated to Aviation Insurance and the agency is licensed in all 50 states. Avsurance maintains relationships with all the major aviation underwriters giving us access to competitive quotes in this specialized market.
Avsurance Corporation is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable insurance producer to follow sales leads and grow our book of business.
The insurance producer acts as an intermediary between insurance companies and insurance buyers, selling commercial insurance policies. They advise customers on the insurance policies that best suit their needs, specializing in aviation insurance coverage.
Insurance producers are responsible for selling insurance products to potential customers. Producers must be active in seeking out new clients and explaining types of coverage they may find helpful. They must keep abreast of the rates and policies that various insurers offer.
DUTIES
Develops base for long-term sources of clients
by using referrals, occupational, and special-
interest groups to compile lists of prospects.
Approaches potential clients by utilizing mailings and phone solicitation; making presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings; attending conferences.
Determines clients particular needs by scheduling visits, determining extent of present coverage and ascertaining long-term goals.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree and 2
years previous sales experience preferred
Aviation industry experience a plus
Current Insurance licensing preferred
Required to obtain appropriate licensing within 90 days of hire and continuing education as needed
Good customer service and ability to determine customer needs
Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
Ability to interpret and explain data and insurance policies
Possesses and is able to demonstrate a high level of motivation
Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth
May require 50% or more of overnight travel
