## Job Summary

## Responsibilities
The Research Process Coordinator will be responsible for providing pre-award and post-award support to Radiation Oncology faculty, as well as some additional administrative duties.
Pre-award duties include preparation of federal and non-federal research grant applications. This includes budget development , other forms and application components and internal routing for approvals. Responsibilities include assuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and University policy, advising faculty regarding sponsor requirements and coordinating subcontracts with outside entities, coordinating administrative shell components between multiple units and departments involved in large, collaborative, multi-disciplinary program projects and grant proposals. Serve as a liaison with the Department of Radiation Oncology, Medical School Grants Office, and ORSP.
Responsibilities in this position will be weighted toward post-award management. The primary role is to prepare and report grants financial status and projections for faculty on a monthly basis utilizing MReports. This will include reconciliation of sponsored and discretionary research funds using the Universitys eReconciliation process, investigation and resolution of discrepancies, preparing journal entries, effort allocation changes, budget projections and categorical budget allocations. Other post-award duties will include financial reporting to faculty and administration, review and resolution of A-21 reports/issues and close-out reports.
Other responsibilities will include research procurement, recharging for core services, space survey, inventories and other duties as assigned.
The Department of Radiation Oncology is fast paced clinical and research department. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and balance many priorities is essential.
## Required Qualifications
Requires bachelors degree or equivalent plus 2-3 years of relevant experience. A professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills, along with effective business writing abilities is essential. This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to function independently and work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
## Desired Qualifications
A strong financial aptitude with experience and expertise with University financial reporting systems is strongly desired. Experience in pre and post award grants management is strongly preferred.
