## Responsibilities
Develop the analytical and statistical approaches for particular research questions. Determine the statistical tests to be used. Carry out statistical analyses and evaluate results. Devise tests to evaluate the validity of data and analyses. Work with other staff members to evaluate research findings.
Write SAS programs for data preparation, analysis file creation, statistical analysis, and reporting. Assist programmers in preparation of programs requiring complex combination of data from multiple sources.
Perform independent critical analyses of pertinent literature, Medicare rules and regulation, and legislation. Evaluate data sources to determine whether and how they can be used of particular research questions.
Prepare documentation of computer programs used in the research. Prepare documentation and research guides for analysis data sets.
Participate in meetings and conference calls with research sponsors to define research questions and deliverables, present results, and determine next steps.
Prepare research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences and workshop
## Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Public Policy, Economics or a Public Health field, including graduate level courses in statistics and 4 to 5 years of related experience. Experience using SAS. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work as part of a team or individually while meeting deadlines in a multi-tasking environment. Good computing skills in the Windows environment, particularly with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
## Desired Qualifications
Advanced statistical training including survival analysis. Experience in data processing or analysis. Demonstrated ability to learn and use new computer programs quickly and effectively. Prior research and programming experience.
## Additional Information
ORGANIZATION: The Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center (KECC) carries out research in epidemiology, public policy, economics, outcomes research relating to End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), chronic kidney disease, kidney dialysis, and organ transplantation. KECC maintains a comprehensive historical database of about 2 million ESRD patients drawn primarily from Medicare data. KECC prepares extensive facility-specific reports for the 6000 dialysis facilities in the U.S. KECC also provides computer support for other University projects using Medicare claims data.
This position will participate in all aspects of the research process in projects involving one or more of the above subject areas.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
