ProQuest is seeking a Software Developer III
What you'll be doing:
Develop new and improved systems and processes to support new projects and continual improvements
Technical developer for electronic content creation and delivery architecture and high-level design.
Writes, tests, debugs and implements application software, including performance and capacity analysis/tuning.
Give input to the design and architectural decisions for projects
Produce documentation to support the design and development of new systems
Participate regularly in the inspection of requirements, design work and test plans.
Provide guidance for production activities and crisis management.
Other duties as assigned
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
5
years experience in Informaitica technology and Java development including multi-threaded applications with a focus on high performance
5
years of work experience with DB technologies like Oracle, MySQL, etc
Strong background with multiple data formats and schemas (XML, SGML, MARC, etc.) and DTD
7
years of architectural/high-level design experience with large-scale, complex n-tier scalable systems in a 24x7 production environment.
5
years experience working with relational databases like MySQL and Oracle, including PL/SQL and database design.
Effective execution working in a distributed team model, including successful consensus-building.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Capable of functioning independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points:

years experience using Unix/Linux.
3
years experience with data structures, Data mapping and transformations.
5
years experience using XML technologies like XSL and Schemas.
5
years experience using Informatica tools
Experience in Spring/Struts framework
Experience in Agile process
