Civil Staff Engineer


Responsibilities:
In this position you will be involved with providing engineering assistance on construction materials engineering and testing projects, which consists of field engineering and performing construction materials, soils and special inspection services and preparing reports. This position will be involved with projects from initial authorization to completion including client interaction, work scheduling, establishing and monitoring the project budget, and quality control. There will be some out-of-town travel required. There will be a wide variety of projects with focus on the commercial development, education, healthcare, energy and transportation sectors. There may also be involvement with geotechnical projects. Additional responsibilities include business development and preparing proposals.
Qualifications:
BSCE required; with E.I.T. Physically capable of the physical labor required. Ability to occasionally move 50 to 100 pounds. Good communication skills including technical writing. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Pre-employment drug screen KNOWLEDGE AND
Experience:
Demonstrated skill and proficiency in engineering principles and the ability to develop and implement solutions to a wide range of problems. Skill in analyzing and interpreting data, accurately observing and recording field activities, reading plan, blueprints, and specifications as related to the position. Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a positive manner, and work independently in the field. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
