SummaryThe Goforth Laboratory within the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Michigan Medical School is seeking an energetic individual to join our team as a full-time Research Lab Technician.
Our research is focused on discovering the mechanisms underlying the neural control of metabolism and motivated behaviors, such as food intake and reward seeking.
Our lab uses multiple techniques, including electrophysiology, calcium imaging, optogenetics, fiber photometry, and behavioral assays.
Specific interests include gut-brain communication and the cellular mechanisms mediating neuropeptide and pharmacological regulation of relevant circuitry.
We value scientific curiosity and work as a collaborative team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with live cell fluorescence imaging and/or behavioral experiments, and prior work with animals.
Exceptional trouble-shooting capabilities and the ability to work independently are essential.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
