DutiesYou will:
- Serve as an expert advisor in the area of application software, development, evaluation and integration.
- Provide post-development customer support for applications, serving as a point of contact to address various issues such as augmentation, maintenance, and problem resolution.
- Lead multi-functional development projects in software analysis, design, development, and implementation for a new system or major enhancement to an existing system.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, you must have either:

1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately;4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations;OR-A bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.

In addition to the basic requirements above, you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as designing, developing, and implementing web-based applications to meet organizational needs; modifying, testing, analyzing, installing, implementing, and supporting software applications; and assuring software and systems quality and functionality.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
1) Knowledge of software and programming techniques; 2) Skill in applying interrelationships of IT to business processes; 3) Skill in providing post development customer support for applications; 4) Skill in oral communication; 5) Skill in written communication; 6) Skill in project management; and 7) Skill in contract management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
