The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst collaborates with Gift of Life Michigan personnel to support a culture of continuous improvement and quality assurance activities.
The QA Analyst is responsible for reviewing and processing donor record information to ensure completion and ongoing compliance with federal, state, accreditation and other third-party regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Conducts ongoing reviews of donor records for accuracy, ensures timely completion, and compliance with federal, state, accreditation and other third party legal and regulatory requirements and standards.
Compiles, monitors, and processes all donor record documentation.
Monitors pending documentation and conducts all follow-up activities related to completing the donor record.
Interacts with internal and external customers to distribute donor record information.
Ensures necessary donor record information is obtained in a timely manner for record release.
Monitors, tracks, and reports donor record inconsistencies to Gift of Life Michigan personnel; collaborates with personnel to ensure timely completion of the donor record.
Reports positive serological, culture, and other test results for tissue donor records, to appropriate personnel and agencies as required by federal, state, accreditation and other third parties.
Collaborates and supports continuous quality improvement by partnering with Gift of Life Michigan management and peers to ensure organizational strategic goals are met.
Actively participates as the organization's quality assurance liaison in internal committees, workgroups, and meetings.
Conducts quality assurance activities and leads quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Completes ongoing quality assurance education and training.
Provides training and guidance to internal stakeholders and staff on regulatory requirements, standards, policies, procedures, processes, documents, etc.
Completes various reports, supports internal and external audits, investigates customer complaints and non-conformances, and regularly updates work instructions, training documentation, job aids, etc.
to maintain compliance with federal, state, accreditation and other third parties.
Routinely assesses and prioritizes job activities to ensure established deadlines, metrics and goals are met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired:
Associates degree or four years of work experience within a related role.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field, physical sciences, or related field.
Knowledge & Skills:
Written and verbal fluency in English.
Ability to exercise initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Teams and other technology systems used in business operations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Knowledge of quality assurance activities and quality improvement methodologies, including Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA).
Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Business Process Improvement Continuous Quality Improvement (Cqi) Coordinating Corrective And Preventive Action (Capa) Critical Thinking Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
