Day shift schedule, Monday - Friday (7am-5pm) at our Bellville, MI location Benefit and 401k options.
Must be able to work outside in all types of seasonal weather.
You will help to locate, identify, and remove auto parts from salvage yard vehicles and warehouse locations from a provided work order.
Responsible for the physical movement of parts to and from warehouse storage areas.
Responsible for Safely removing bolted and unbolted auto parts with skill and finesse to prevent damage Will operate a forklift and other lift equipment as needed.
Will be responsible for the labeling and tagging of parts while placing them in their designated warehouse areas, racks, shelves and/or bins Parts pickers are also in charge of maintaining a clean workspace and filling out all required work order paperwork Will check for defects in parts and enter information into computer systems Parts pickers also ensure all scrap and core materials are placed in proper staging areas.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Hands-on automotive repair/parts pulling experience or equivalent Mechanical aptitude Forklift experience/certification a plus Must be able to identify automotive parts May be required to own and maintain all the necessary mechanical tools including but not limited to hand tools, wrenches and power tools such as drills/drivers etc.
Varies site-to-site and will be discussed during interview.
