com/ann-arbor-plymouth/) is seeking a level-2 Server, PC, & Networking Technician with 3
years experience supporting end-user technology-related service requests.
We provide a fast-paced, supportive environment with a small and growing team.
This role requires customer facing skills over phone, email, face-to-face onsite, or via remote into end user computers.
Process and discipline required to ensure timely customer service and security of customer assets.
The role can be part-time, hourly, project based, or a flexible arrangement can be structured.
Generally speaking, we are looking for 10 to 20 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose, research and troubleshoot computer system issues, including MS Windows, H/W and S/W, networking, VPN, connectivity, and other network devices/peripherals, both remotely and onsite.
Mainly Microsoft skill-sets with level-2 proficiency and interest in Linux workstations required.
Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, both Android and Apple IOS.
80% MS Windows environments and 20% Linux and Apple.
Networking support, troubleshooting, and administration, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
Provide minimal on-call emergency services after business hours, holidays and weekends as required via a rotational on-call support process with other team members.
Monitor and update Service Desk incident tracking tickets for purposes of demonstrating compliance with issue response and resolution, Service Level Agreements, logging daily activities and documenting solutions.
Maintain a professional image.
Travel to local customer offices in Metro Detroit and Washtenaw County when work cannot be effectively work remotely.
PREFERRED
Experience:
3
years of experience supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining end user environments, networking infrastructure and MS Server configurations.
Experience troubleshooting Active Directory, TCP/IP networks, and common MS Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
Mainly, MS Window environments with level-1 proficiency in Linux and Apple devices.
Interest in growing skill-set and proficiency with Linux is desirable.
Experience and working knowledge with WANs, LANs, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
Candidate needs to be comfortable with networking devices as well as reaching out to products vendors and other available CMIT network engineers for support.
(SonicWall, Meraki, Juniper, Fortinet, Ubiquiti) Solid System Backup Configuration and Monitoring experience.
Experience with Help Desk tools, ticketing systems, Connectwise Experience using centralized management tools for workstation imaging, installing software packages, patching, workstation backups, and monitoring IT systems.
Ability to maintain professional communication skills, particularly with end users and customer management.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and handle interruptions in a professional manner.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact with diverse personalities.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's Degree in IT or related technical field or equivalent industry certifications such as CompTia, Cisco CNA, Miscrosoft MSCE/MCP/MCTS, A+, Network+, Security+,.
